Five days ago I returned from a trip to India; no enlightenment or epiphanies but spirit lifted by a glorious trip and time for reflection. However, please note the qualifier when I say India is a land of overwhelming beauty, history, culture, spirituality, colors, poverty, spices, smells, wealth, needs and sound. For 10 days, I only experienced a teeny tiny bit, but it will stay with me for a lifetime. I am grateful, wiser and more at peace for having taken the journey. It truly was a glorious way to jump out of 2019 and into 2020.
And speaking of jumping....
In January 2019, I prepared lots of cook whatcha got meals while #mississippifurloughed
Spent February and March 2019 just taking care, work traveling, sending intrepid cabbage collard to plant heaven, making fruit salad, and starting a Restorative Yin Yoga class at the YMCA.
In April 2019, got a chance to visit Nile Valley Aquaponic’s in Kansas City, Kansas and planted my garden.
May - July 2019, visited friends in Oakland, held 1st Community Wellness Pop-Up, nurtured my garden, and enjoyed the fruits of my labor.
Road tripped with friends and quilted in August 2019.
Just breathed, juiced and took care in September 2019.
In October 2019, held 2nd Community Wellness Pop-Up with 3 sister friends and hosted Cookbook Club Sunday Dinner.
Most grateful in November 2019 that foundation
was laid and framing began in December 2019.
Lastly, I jumped for joy at the Taj Mahal in December 2019!
