Youth Voices Speak on Community Food and Wellness
A Video Competition for Washington County Students
This year, Third Ward Zen is excited to launch a new feature of the Delta Roots Festival: a video competition that invites youth to share their perspectives on food and wellness in their communities.
-
Students ages 12–18 who live in Washington County, Mississippi are eligible to enter.
-
Create a 3–5 minute video that reflects your view of community food and wellness. Choose one of these two focus areas:
Wellness practices in your community (Examples: playing sports, cheerleading, dance, exercise, Tai Chi, Zumba, yoga, martial arts, etc.)
Your community food environment (Examples: community or family gardening, farmers markets, cooking meals, or other food sources in your area)
Whichever story you choose, your video should show how the activity nurtures the mind, body, and/or spirit to help build a healthy community.
