Delta Roots Festival - Art & Movement 2026
On May 29 – 30, 2026, we celebrated the Delta Roots Festival at the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center, Stein Hall Auditorium, in Greenville, MS. A quilt exhibit and reception were held Friday evening, May 29, featuring the Home Place Community Quilting Bee Project and the Mississippi State University Extension quilting group. Our theme was Art & Movement 2026 where on the second day, May 30, art in the form of quilting was combined with an array of movement activities, including Integral Thai Chi – Qi Gong, Zumba, line dancing, and gentle yoga. Other activities included a table for no-sew crafting, an enlivened quilting wisdom circle, and a sound healing session.
We want to thank everyone that helped to make this year’s festival a success. Our featured sponsors were the Greenville Arts Council, the Mississippi Arts Commission, E.E. Bass Education & Development Foundation, Mississippi State University Extension, GOSPA, and Three Blessings Yoga Farm & Wellness Center. More thanks and highlights from the festival are below.

While everyone isn’t shown, it took many hands to set-up the quilt exhibit, other parts of the festival, and the reception area for folks to enjoy.
