Grateful and Flummoxed at the Same Time

Wildfire smoke from Canada in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC last week. Thunderstorms and hail in Greenville, MS last night. Mother Nature has certainly been doing her thing in June 2023. Before last night my garden was flourishing beautifully.

Excited yesterday morning to see the first okra and cantaloupe flowers. Cucumbers and zucchini plants growing nicely.

Checked on things this morning. Thankfully no storm damage, but through it all some critter took the opportunity to feast on my zucchini, cucumber, and tomato plants.

Grateful for surviving the storm. Flummoxed over that critter’s wrongdoing. Super grateful it didn’t devour the two beautiful cucumbers pulled from the vine.
