Welcome to Live Life in Full Color
A blog by Dr. Ellen Harris
This blog is a reflection of my personal mantra—to live life in full color by embracing gratitude, peace, and wisdom in everyday moments. Here, I share pieces of that journey: the joy of growing and preparing nourishing food, the calm found in yoga and mindful movement, and the insight gained through journaling, travel, photography, nature, gardening, books, and the beauty of handcrafted textiles.
Live Life in Full Color is a space to celebrate a life well-lived—rooted in wellness, creativity, and connection. I hope these reflections inspire you to slow down, look closer, and find your own rhythm of gratitude, peace, and wisdom.

Releasing 2023; Wisely, Peacefully and Gratefully Entering 2024

October Beginnings
The 3 voices described back in August – gardener/wanna be a farmer voice, the creative expression voice, and the spiritual/meditative/wanna be with nature voice – were beautifully captured in video by my son, Jeremy Harris, the latter half of September.

Pops of Purple and Red in the Garden
Finally, July kicked off pops of purple and red in the garden.

Grateful and Flummoxed at the Same Time
Wildfire smoke from Canada in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC last week. Thunderstorms and hail in Greenville, MS last night. Mother Nature has certainly been doing her thing in June 2023.

Looking Back and Stepping Forward in Gratitude
Someone once told me I was all over the place and that I needed to focus. That was over 20 years ago.

On this July 4, I’m resting and reflecting gratefully on holding the 1st Delta Roots Festival, June 17 - 19. Today these are my moments of celebration.

Grateful for the Best and Worst of Garden 2019
Three years ago, I moved to the Mississippi Delta for work.
